**Fuerteventura – The Road Bike Paradise**

FastMotion Bikecenter presents Fuerteventura as the ideal destination for road cycling.

### Premium road bikes from GHOST and gravel bikes from MMR

Rent high-quality road bikes from the German brand GHOST and gravel bikes from the Spanish brand MMR. All bikes feature carbon frames with modern geometry and Shimano Ultegra groupsets. You can choose between classic rim brakes or the latest disc-brake versions. Whichever bike you pick, you’ll be perfectly equipped to explore the island, train hard, or challenge yourself against other riders.

### Ideally located in Costa Calma

We deliberately chose Costa Calma as our base. Many of the best rides start right here. If you want to explore the island on your own, you can roll straight out from our shop — no bus or transfer needed. We’re perfectly positioned.

Thanks to our many years in the sport, we offer countless route options for road bikes, mountain bikes, and fat bikes. We’re more than just a bike rental. We live cycling.

### Why Fuerteventura is perfect for road bikes

Fuerteventura doesn’t have the towering peaks of Gran Canaria or Tenerife. Still, the elevation adds up quickly. The secret is the rolling, undulating terrain. Longer climbs, the island’s wave-like profile, and the constant wind make every ride interesting. You can keep it relaxed or push it to a very demanding level — the combinations are endless.

### Two route examples you can follow

**1. Costa Calma – La Pared – Ajuy and back

Start at FastMotion Bikecenter in Costa Calma, ride to La Pared, then over the La Taplada pass (approx. 650 m) down to Ajuy. The climb quickly shows that Fuerteventura is anything but flat. The descent into Ajuy more than makes up for the effort. In Ajuy, stop at “Jaule de Oro” — try the fresh goat cheese with tomatoes.

– Distance: 70 km
– Elevation gain: 800 m
– FastMotion Level: 3.5 out of 6 (4.5 in strong wind)

**2. The King stage: Costa Calma – Pájara – Betancuria – Antigua – Tuineje – Pájara – Costa Calma

This challenging loop also starts at FastMotion Bikecenter. It includes four major climbs and takes you through Betancuria, Antigua, and Tuineje before returning. After the long ascents you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of mountains and barrancos. In Vega de Río Palmas, enjoy a cortado in front of the church Nuestra Señora de la Peña. Betancuria, the former island capital, impresses with its white houses, historic church, monastery ruins, and small museums.

– Distance: 110 km
– Elevation gain: 1900 m
– FastMotion Level: 5 out of 6
