Today, FastMotion Bikecenter wants to introduce you to the island of Fuerteventura. We have high-end road bikes from the German bike brand GHOST ready for you. Carbon frames with cutting-edge geometry, Shimano Ultegra equipment, classic rim brakes or the trendy disc versions—whichever road bike you choose, you'll be perfectly geared up to explore the island, train, or challenge other athletes.
We set up shop in Costa Calma on Fuerteventura because it gives us the ideal conditions for offering epic road bike tours. If you prefer to explore the island on your own, you can start right outside our hotel. We're in the perfect spot—we don't need a bus or any other transport. Road Bike Costa Calma

Fuerteventura doesn't have towering mountains like neighboring Gran Canaria or Tenerife, but anyone who has ridden a road bike here quickly realizes the elevation gain really adds up! The undulating terrain is the reason why.
There are a few longer mountain passes that, combined with the island's rolling profile and the wind, make for the ultimate cycling experience. You'll find endless combinations, from mellow to hardcore. Road Bike Costa Calma

FastMotion, Costa Calma – La Pared – Ajuy and back
This stage takes you from the FastMotion Bikecenter in Costa Calma to La Pared, over the La Taplada pass (approx. 650 m) to Ajuy. The climb immediately wipes away any idea that Fuerte is a flat island! But the descent to Ajuy makes up for all those sweaty uphill kilometers. A stop at "Jaule de Oro" in Ajuy is a great idea (tip: fresh goat cheese with tomatoes!) before heading back to La Pared.
Distance: 70 km, 800 m elevation, FastMotion Level: 3.5 (out of 6), with strong wind 4.5!
FastMotion, Costa Calma – Pájara – Betancuria – Antigua – Tuineje – Pájara – Costa Calma
As always, the starting point for this bike tour is FastMotion Bikecenter, Costa Calma. From there, this "queen stage" tackles four climbs via Betancuria, Antigua, and Tuineje back to Pájara.
After kilometers of climbing, you can enjoy stunning views of mountains and barrancos, the play of colors in the sunlight, and a peaceful silence broken only by the occasional passing car. In Vega de Río Palmas, take a break in front of the church of Nuestra Señora de la Peña to enjoy a delicious cortado (espresso with milk), giving you the boost you need to keep pushing forward.
Betancuria, the old island capital, is reached quickly after that. The whitewashed houses of this beautifully located village are reminiscent of Andalusia's white villages. Beyond the historic church in the village center, there are other sights to explore, such as the ruins of a Franciscan monastery and two small museums.
